Ultrasonic Sensing
 STI offers a wide variety of ultrasonic sensors to meet your application needs. Ultrasonic technology provides a non-contact measurement solution. Common application include monitoring & controlling tank levels for both solids & liquids, obstacle detection & collision avoidance, roll diameter & loop control, and presence-absence & proximity detection, just to name a few. Our sensors are available with detection ranges as short as 4 in. and as long as 50+ ft. Output options include 4-20 mA & 0-5 V analog, relays, transistor trip points, and RS-485 serial communications.

Pressure Products
 STI has a full line of digital pressure gauges and pressure transmitters to meet your pressure requirements. Our digital pressure gauges range from 3 digits and battery operated to 4 digits and many analog and digital outputs. We feature gauges with plastic, stainless steel and NEMA 4X housings. Several of our housings are weather resistant. Other options include, auto off, peak hold, visual and active alarms, tare, and rear port. Our pressure transmitters feature many different outputs including 4-20 mA, 0-5 VDC, 0-10 VDC, 1-5 VDC, 1-6 VDC, 3 mV/V, 5 mV/V and 10 mV/V. We also offer submersible transmitters. There are several electrical connections to choose from. All of our products offer selections of many different units of measures, many process connections, and +/-0.25% full scale accuracy with optional +/-0.1% with NIST certification (select devices and select ranges).

Liquid Level Sensing
 The FL Series are custom stem float switches. The FLX range of product is built to a customer's specification, including length of stem, material, housing, mounting and number and position of switching points. The SLS and MLS are are two other float switches for specific applications. The ELS is an STI conductive probe system. It is a popular technique in water level applications such as municipal water and steam generators. The NLS is a pneumatic sensor for liquid levels. Finally are the cable float switches which are popular in water treatment, pump control and tank level monitoring. STI is the North American source for the very popular Kari float switches. STI also offers alternate styles including the FCN, FTN and TLS.

Continous Level Sensing
 In addition to Ultrasonic level transmitters, STI offers other techniques for the continuous measurement of levels. The most popular alternative technique to ultrasonic is Pressure transmitter. STI has a complete offering of pressure switches, transmitters and gauges, which can be applied to not only liquid level measurement, but also hydraulic and pneumatic pressure. STI offers the RPR for float measurement in liquids. A more precise, but higher cost approach is the MLT which is magnetostrictive. The BLS is a bubbler system which is well accepted in the water treatment market.

Displacement & Velocity Measurement
 STI offers many devices to meet your Displacement and Velocity requirements. We have displacement transducers, velocity transducers, and displacement with velocity transducers. We also offer mini position transducers and submersible displacement transducers. Displacement and velocity ranges start at 2 inches and go up to 500 inches (on select models). Displacement accuracy is range dependent and ranges from +/-0.1% full scale to +/-0.25% full scale. Applications include: Robotics and Automated Systems; Oven Feed and Feed Rate indicators; Automated Doors; Automotive and Aircraft testing; and Hydraulic Press Systems.

Flow Sensing
 STI offers a range of flow sensors and transmitters for common flow detection applications in gas, liquids and bulk solids. Techniques employed are acoustic for bulk solids and powders in pipes, low cost Paddle for liquids, open channel ultrasonic for liquids, capacitance ring sensors for pump protection, microwave for bulk solids, and thermal dispersion for liquids and gases.
